The Siddhababa Temple is located at a distance of 3 km north of Butwal of western Nepal and 34 km southwest of Tansen Bazaar, the district headquarters of Palpa district. In the Siddhababa area, there is a legend that the then King Bhartruhari of Ujjain state of India achieved perfection through penance. The Siddhababa region is also considered the abode of Siddhapurusha Bhartruhari and the wandering place of the primitive Rampithecus.
Siddhababa temple is the center of religious faith. Thousands of devotees visit this temple daily as it is a place of fulfillment after visiting and worshiping at this temple.
The Siddhababa Temple Development Committee has its own constitution to operate this temple. In order to give it legitimacy, it has been registered in the District Administration Office, Palpa on the 10th of Baisakh, 2056 BS and is being renewed every year. Registration No. 355. Arrangements have been made for Tinau village to be the custodian of this temple.
It is true that the temple development committee has been formed to propagate the Siddhababa temple, to enhance its religious significance and historicity, to preserve and rebuild the physical structure of the temple and to keep and mobilize the money raised from this temple in a systematic manner.
